Los Palominos, a Latino group from Uvalde, Texas, with Mexican heritage and their unique sound, was formed in 1986 by brothers James, Jorge, Johnny, and Jesse Arreola. Initially known as Los Tremendos Pequeños, they later adopted the name Los Palominos. Their music spans genres like polka, rancheras, boleros, ballads, and cumbias.
The band gained recognition after signing with Sony Discos in 1992. Their 1994 album, Corazón de Cristal, was a major hit in the U.S. and Mexico. Over the years, Los Palominos have released numerous successful albums and won Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards.
Tragically, drummer Jesse Arreola passed away in a bus accident in 2001. His legacy continues to inspire the band and fans alike.
Current members include James Arreola (vocals, bajo quinto, guitar), Julio Arreola (accordion, keyboards), Jorge Arreola (bass), and Danny Martinez (drums). Julio took over the accordion after Johnny left to pursue Christian music.
Their latest album, El Orgullo de Uvalde, released on May 26, 2023, features songs like "Y Por Esa Calle Vive" and "No Le Digas A Nadie." Los Palominos continue to tour actively across the United States and Mexico.
