$10,000 Scholarship Donation to Southwest Texas Junior College
Members of the Palomino Fest Committee present a check for $10,000 to Southwest Texas Junior College President Ismael Sosa. The check will go towards the Palomino Fest Scholarship endowment at the junior college. The money was raised at 2006 Palomino Fest held September 2nd at the Uvalde Fairgrounds.
The scholarship funds will assist students in Southwest Texas Junior College's 11-county service area.
The 11th Palomino Fest, which occurs annually during Labor Day weekend, is scheduled for September 1-2, 2007 at the Uvalde Fairgrounds.
